Assessing Sovereign Climate-related Opportunities and Risks (ASCOR) is an investor-led framework used to evaluate how countries are managing the low-carbon transition and climate change impacts. It measures sovereign performance across three pillars: Emissions Pathways, Climate Policies, and Climate Finance. The videos and accompanying slides below cover Pillar 2: Climate Policies, which evaluates a country's national legislation, strategies, and actions that actively regulate and guide the transition to a low-carbon economy. It measures how prepared a nation is to meet its emission targets and adapt to climate impacts. This pillar is broken down into six key areas of evaluation:
ASCOR: Pillar 2 Climate Policies (CP1. Climate Legislation)
ASCOR: Pillar 2 Climate Policies (CP2. Carbon Pricing)
ASCOR: Pillar 2 Climate Policies (CP3. Fossil Fuels)
ASCOR: Pillar 2 Climate Policies (CP4. Sectoral Transitions)
ASCOR: Pillar 2 Climate Policies (CP5. Adaptation)
ASCOR: Pillar 2 Climate Policies (CP6. Just Transition)
